Education and Training

Mebius Packaging considers talent to be a human asset. We place an emphasis on educating our employees, and providing our younger employees with opportunities to receive an education. Our education system is composed of three pillars. They are hierarchical education, professional education, and correspondence education in which each employee can learn for themselves.

In the correspondence education system, the course fee is supported by the company if the course is completed within the course period.

We conduct collective training for all new employees after their welcoming ceremony. Later, these new employees are assigned to their specific workplaces to take our STEP Education 1-3 to learn the basics of our business.

In their third year after graduating from a college or university and becoming an employee, we give our employees logical thinking training throughout the Toyo Seikan Group, and along with younger employees from other group companies, they undergo thinking training. We try to change the minds of our employees assigned to our manufacturing system from being that of new employees to becoming middle-level employees by having our employees in their sixth year take middle-level employee training. In addition, we offer incentives if an employee obtains official qualifications defined by the company.

Education for Our Younger Workers

New Employee Training
The goal of this training is to switch their attitude from that of a student to one of person with responsibility in society through the collective education.
This is where they will learn about the company and group for which they work.
STEP Training
As a basic manufacturing education, our employees learn the principles while coming into direct contact with machines so they can acquire the knowledge and technology required to implement productive activities.
Logical Thinking Training
The goals of this training are to teach our employees to think logically, communicate clearly, to be able to work as a team, and to act independently.
Mid-Level Employee Training
The objectives of this type of training is to teach our employees to be clearly aware of their positions (the spirit of their workplace) to which they are assigned, to be aware of workplace problems and to be able to work towards solving them.

Welfare Systems

Welfare Club

This is a comprehensive welfare service available in a wide range of areas, including good life services to support daily living such as shopping, dining, childcare, nursing care and leisure facilities, and resort services to support leisure time such as domestic and international accommodations and package tours.

For example...

  • You don't have to be a member of this sports gym. Employees can use the facility at a low rate if you are a member of a welfare club!
  • Employees are able to enjoy watching movies for less than the usual amount at the movie theater!
  • From the fast-food shops to a slightly up-scale hotel buffet, employees can enjoy them at discounted prices! * An application in advance may be required in some cases.

Also, the employee’s family members can use the services of the welfare club!!

Lending Activity Meters to Employees for Health Promotion

We encourage our employees to 'walk' in order to promote their good health, and as a tool we lend activity meters to those who wish to monitor their activities.
This activity meter can measure how many steps you take in a day, and your calorie consumption data. Also, each business site has a body composition analyzer that can check the physical status of our employees by linking to the activity meter.
Our company gives consideration to the health of our employees and we promote our vision of creating a company where our employees will want to continue working.

Employee Cafeteria

Our company has a cafeteria at our headquarters, technical department and all four factories.
The headquarters has a common cafeteria for the group on the 14th floor. This offers a wide range of menus such as set meals, noodles and rice-bowl donburi. It is always busy at lunchtime.
We also make efforts to give donations to developing countries, according to the number of meals in the headquarters cafeteria, called the TFT (Table For TWO) menu.
