Personal Information Protection Policy

Mebius Packaging Co., Ltd. (the "Company") establishes this Policy as the guidelines for the measures for protecting personal information of its consumers, clients, suppliers, affiliates’ shareholders, officers, employees and other individuals (“Data Subjects”) held by the Company in order to fulfill its social responsibility as a packaging container manufacturer group and be deserving of its customers’ and other stakeholders’ trust.

1. Acquisition of Personal Information

The Company acquires personal information in a fair and lawful manner.

2. Disclosure, etc. of Purposes of Use of Personal Information

When the Company acquires personal information, generally it will first disclose the purposes of use of such information via its website, etc. to make them known to Data Subjects.

3. Use of Personal Information

The Company uses personal information within the scope of the purposes of use as specified in Appended Table hereto. The Company will not provide personal information to a third party in or outside Japan without prior consent of each Data Subject.

4. Joint Use of Personal Information

The Company uses personal data of its customers such as their names, company names, departments and contact information jointly with its group companies for the purpose of introducing products/services of the Company and its group companies, providing various information, and conducting marketing activities. The Company handles any request such as for disclosure and complaint made by a customer regarding jointly used personal data. The Company has authority to disclose, correct, cease the utilization of jointly used personal data and is responsible to manage such information including the security management thereof.

5. Protection of Security of Personal information

The Company endeavors to keep personal information accurate and up to date to the extent necessary to achieve the relevant purposes of use. The Company takes necessary and appropriate security management measures to prevent any leakage, loss, damage or other incident of personal information.

6. Supervision of Outsourcees

The Company may outsource the handling of personal information to a third party. When doing so, the Company will select an appropriate third party and provide necessary and appropriate supervision to such third party outsourcee in order to ensure the security management of personal information so outsourced.

7. Disclosure, etc. of Personal Information

If the Company receives from a Data Subject a request for notification of the purposes of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, cessation of the utilization, erasure, or cessation of the third-party provision of personal data held by the Company (“Request for Disclosure, etc.”), it will respond to such request in a sincere manner pursuant to the provisions of the relevant laws and regulations and the Company’s Personal Information Protection Regulations and Personal Information Protection Operation Standards.

9. Personal Information Protection Organization

The Company appropriately manages personal information by appointing an information manager from among its directors or operating officers.

10. Establishment of Personal Information Protection Regulations

The Company establishes the Personal Information Protection Regulations and the Personal Information Protection Operation Standards to carry out this Policy, ensures its officers’ and employees’ familiarity with and performance of this Policy, the Personal Information Protection Regulations and the Personal Information Protection Operation Standards, and conducts timely audits on the performance status thereof and makes any necessary improvement thereto.

11. Education/Trainings

The Company provides necessary and appropriate supervision to its employees to enhance the security management of personal information. The Company provides its officers and employees with education/trainings on this Policy, the Personal Information Protection Regulations and the Personal Information Protection Operation Standards to ensure the appropriate management of personal information.

12. Legal Compliance

The Company appropriately manages personal information by appointing an information manager from among its directors or operating officers.
